Feud's Five For Fighters: Sean Worland

Feud's Five For Fighters: Sean Worland

When we asked Sean to do our new blog series, he said he was a "mad awkward" person, but luckily for him, it's a blog series not a vlog series!

Sean trains out of The Ironfist Gym in Brisbane, under Queensland Muay Thai legend Daniel Bell. He has a current record of 6W, 2L and 1D. He is currently training to fight for the WKFP Queensland Light Middleweight Title on 11th March 2023.

Here are Sean's Five Questions:

Can you tell us about your background and how you got started in Muay Thai?

I originally got into Muay Thai through my brothers. They had started training and I was looking for revenge after being a crash test dummy one too many times. When I first started I was still playing rugby so was only training Thai Casually in the off season.

What has been your highlight of your fighting career so far?

I think it was my 4th fight… had an opponent who was getting hyped up by some people I know, because he had some knockouts and had trained in Thailand. I didn’t finish him but the win felt better than my finishes, because I felt like I was being doubted.

You can only use one; teep, leg kick or right hook?

Leg kick for sure, easily one of the most satisfying techniques to do damage with.

Who is your favourite Australian Muay Thai fighter of all time?

Carnage, no one else is close.

Post fight, what's the first thing you're eating?

 Fried chicken 🤌🏼
